Obituary of Kaye Karolynn Trautman

Kaye Karolynn Trautman, 81, passed away August 17, 2017 at her home in Jordan Valley with family by her side. She was born the last of nine children on July 14, 1936 in Artesian South Dakota to Fred and Hazel Kurpjuweit. During her early years, the family also lived in Bear Creek and Stockton Missouri. Her senior year of high school the family packed up and moved to Nampa Idaho where she graduated from Nampa High School in 1954. She had a variety of jobs during her lifetime from Simplot’s, Kit Mobil Homes, Armour’s Meat Packing and Consumer’s Market. On December 16, 1961, she married Adolph Trautman at the home of Sam & Dora Bell. They made their home in Nampa Idaho and had two sons: Tal and Audie. Kaye and Ade were approaching their 50th wedding anniversary the same year of Ade’s death in 2011. They enjoyed hunting and fishing so the family went somewhere almost every weekend. When the grandkids came, they were off and starting all over again. The family spent fun times in many places like Deadwood Lake, Cascade Lake, on the banks of the Snake River, Owyhee County and the Oregon Coast. Kaye played softball on various city leagues until she retired when she was 50 years old. She was also an avid gardener and could be found outside most of the time tending to her garden or irrigating the pasture….barefoot of course! Her four grandchildren were her pride and joy and she was very active in helping raise them and attending all their sporting events. She is survived by her son Tal (Jennifer) Trautman of Jordan Valley and son Audie Trautman of Marsing, four grandchildren, Cassia (Bryan) Greenfield of Marsing, Sequoi (Mike) Werner of Middleton, Koehl (Stormi) Trautman of Nampa, and Wyatt Trautman of Nampa. Four great granddaughters: Hayden Kaye, Reese Ann (twins), Ezra Lynn, and Ruby June. She was preceded in death by her husband Adolph, her parents Fred and Hazel, and all her siblings (brothers: Julius, Douglas, Fred Jr., Lewis, Dale and sisters: Bonnie, twins Hazel & Yoatta). She was a humble, kind and gentle soul that never found fault with anyone and lived an extraordinary accepting life. She will be greatly missed. Love you Granny!
