Obituary of Aurora H. Flores
Aurora H. Flores, 79, of Greenleaf, passed away in her home peacefully December 29, 2018. Aurora was born in Charco, Texas on April 14, 1939 to the late Gregorio Hernandez and Aurora A. Hernandez. The oldest of three daughters, she is survived by her sisters Celia Alvarez and Emilia Flores.
She met the love of her life in 1952, Guillermo B. Flores. They were married four years later on December 30, 1956 in Pharr, Texas. They had seven children: Maribel, Ricardo, Rene, Veronica, Ruben, Raul and Araceli. They settled in Greenleaf in 1984.
Aurora worked for JR Simplot company for 23 years. She was also an accomplished truck driver, bookkeeper for their small business, loving mother and grandmother.
Aurora is survived by her husband, Guillermo and children; Maribel (Israel) Salazar, Ricardo (Maggie) Flores, Rene Flores, Veronica (Lee) Watts, Ruben (Rosie) Flores, Raul (Carmen) Flores and Araceli (ex Jorge) Nava.
And her 15 grandchildren: Irene (Fred) Valdez, Frumencio Salinas III, Teresa (Francisco) Guzman, Leon Watts, Leann Watts, Guillermo Flores, Vanessa (Julie) Flores, Veronica (Enrique) Uriegas, Cynthia Ann Flores, Iris (Christopher) Hernandez, Ann Lee Watts, Jorge R. Nava, William J. Nava, Jordan Mattessich, Halley Mattessich and Izy Salazar.
Great-grandchildren: Desiree and Greg Valdez, Lisa Salinas, Noel, Anthony and Chloee Martinez, Deidra and Francisco Guzman, Olivia, Enrique and Savanah Uriegas, Serena Castillo, Gwen and Elaina Salazar and Maddison C. Monahan.
A viewing will be held Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 PM with Rosary Recital at 7:00 PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Caldwell. Interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery in Greenleaf, Idaho.
