Obituary of Wanda Orene Rayne

Wanda Orene Rayne, 79, of Middleton, passed on to Heaven on August 30th. Wanda was born February 21st 1943, in Nampa to Charley and Velma Dalton and was the fifth of six children. Wanda married Ted Rayne on December 20th 1963; having five children with Ted made Wanda’s profession that of homemaker. She loved sewing and sewing related crafts. She collected recipes writing them out in journals and on note cards; she would then hand write hundreds of family favorite recipes on to note cards and give them out as wedding gifts. Wanda followed in the footsteps of her Mother and Father and was a devote Christian. She prolifically read and re-read the Bible, her Daily Bread, Devotionals and her most loved book of Psalms. Wanda would read these books year after year and as she read them, she would write notes in columns much like one would write in a journal or diary. She has left a treasure trove of information over the years about her life, thoughts, and daily events to be cherished by current and future generations of her family. Wanda is survived by all five of her children; Nolan (Paulina) Rayne of Spanaway WA., Jason Rayne of Star, Nicole (Andy) Bower of Middleton, Robin Rayne of Caldwell and Jennifer (Mike) Baugh of Boise, along with 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Wanda is also survived by her older sister June (Vic) Taylor of Nampa and her kid sister Tricia (Gene) Bonner of Nampa. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Ted, parents Charley and Velma, brothers Lloyd, David and Charles, her sister-in-law Jean (David) Dalton and her bother-in-law Vic (June) Taylor.
