When Stephane and I were little girls, we decided to polish her church shoes—white ones with black shoe polish! I’ll never forget how huge Tim seemed that day when he caught us and how tiny I felt. I was terrified as I sat in the chair waiting to see what would happen to. Ha—he wouldn’t hurt me and laughed over the years that I thought he would. Years later, he could not wait to tell his grandkids, my great-nephews and great-niece, the story about their Aunt Stephanie and Aunt Luisa and the shoes! I spent so much time at their house growing up that he had lots of stories to share with the kids. We are all going to miss him.
