Obituary of Norman S Foley Jr.

Norman Foley May 21, 1933 – August 16, 2023, in Caldwell Idaho, loving husband of Kathryn Foley passed away at the age of 90.  Norman was born May 21, 1933 to Norman and Winifred Foley in Fresno California.  Norman worked as a Civil Engineer in Fresno and then Sacramento for California Department of Transportation from 1952 and until his retirement on December 31, 2000.  Norman enjoyed astronomy, chess, and bridge.  He and Kathryn enjoyed their dogs, camping and visiting with family and friends.  Norman was a kind and gentle soul who lived his life quietly and with kindness to everyone he encountered. He accepted Christ in early 2012.   In late 2012 he began his journey with Alzheimer’s.  In 2016 Kathryn had to place Norman into Memory Care.  Norman was truly loved by his Memory Care staff.  Before and after Alzheimer’s, He was best recognized for his love of ice cream, cake, and chocolate.  Norman also leaves behind his Stepsons, Curtis and Michael Carlton.
