George Page

Obituary of George Page

George Lee Page, 53, of Greenleaf, Idaho, passed away on August 15, 2023 after a long battle with cancer. George was born September 28, 1969 to Jesse Lee and Patsy Page in Caldwell, Idaho where he joined older sisters Teresa and Amy. He grew up in Parma, Idaho, graduating in 1988. George was an avid Chevrolet guy and was fondly referred to as a big Chevy gearhead. After high school, George worked at Dean’s Tire in Parma as a mechanic. In 2000 he went to work for Idaho Power as a Field Garage Technician and spent 23 years with the company.

George was a dedicated father to Kerstyn, born March 2000, and Stephanie, born April 2003. His girls were his everything. He taught them to be strong, independent women. Both girls worked on cars alongside him, rode the mountain trails with him; where you saw George, you also saw his girls. They were the three Musketeers. In 2021 George became a grandpa for the first time. He loved being a grandpa to Brandi and Hadley (2023). He looked forward to meeting his grandson, Colt, who was born the day after he passed.

In 2013, George moved the girls to Greenleaf, Idaho to be closer to family and friends. He met the love of his life, Shannon Edwards, in 2014. Together the built a life of adventure and fun that included family and friends. They often went camping and four-wheeling. He could even be caught willingly working on Shannon’s Ford pick-up, that’s how we knew it was true love.

George was loyal and caring. He loved his mother, and her husband, Russ. He loved his close “brothers” Jeremy and Mike. He often said that his father, who passed, was a great influence on his life. If you were George’s friend, you knew it was for always.

George was a no fuss guy, who loved anything with motors and could often be found out in his shop rebuilding or fixing cars. He was also creative, teaching himself how to build outdoor furniture to use around the fire pit or creating landscape water features for himself and his family.

George is survived by his wife Shannon, his daughter Kerstyn (Ty) Matlock, granddaughters Brandi and Hadley, his daughter Stephanie (Cameron) Jones, grandson Colt, Shannon’s children Anthony, TaSheena, Cobby and Brad Bugher and 13 step-grandchildren. His mother, Patsy and husband Russ Page, sisters Teresa (Mike) Roberts, Amy (Derek) Frank, numerous nieces and nephews, George was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, a best friends Aaron Stone and Jerry Swarm.

The family would like to thank Idaho Power Company, St. Luke’s Nampa Care Institute, St. Luke’s Hospice team, Pastor Mitch Simon and everyone who reached out in loving support and care.
