Obituary of Christine Marie McClure

  Heaven’s Angels carried Chris away on Oct. 11, 2023 to be with our Lord.  Our dearest wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend will be missed by all who knew her. She was very loved and will be missed terribly. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her.

  Chris was born Nov. 9, 1958 in the back seat of a car between Adrian and Nyssa, Oregon. She attended school in Adrian, graduating in 1976. While there she excelled in track and field and field hockey and drill team and cheerleading.

  Chris married her high school sweetheart and best friend Dan McClure on Dec. 10, 1977 in Nyssa, Oregon and started their family having two beautiful sons, Matt and Ben.

  They lived in Adrian until early 1979 when they moved to Jordan Valley, Oregon where she worked in accounting for 14 years. The family moved to Caldwell and she went to work at Nampa Highway Dept., continuing her career in accounting. She also worked for Campbell Tractor in Nampa and finished her career at Recovery For Life in Boise.

  Chris enjoyed spending time with her husband and family, especially the grandkids, trips to the Oregon coast, fishing, their cabin in Warren, cooking, drawing, reading books, playing her favorite game “Candy Crush”, playing cards and cornhole.

  Chris is survived by her husband, Dan; sons Matt (Laci) and Ben (Misti), grandchildren; Ali, Peyton, Gage, Cash and Hank, brothers; Lewis, Tony, stepbrother Curtis, sister Roberta, stepsister Lillena and many nieces and nephews.

  Chris was preceded in death by her parents and stepparents Duane Smith and Barbara Asumendi, a brother Frank and half sister Valerie.

  To honor Chris’ memory we are holding a celebration of life on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023 at 4:00 pm at the Basque Center, 333 S. Main St. in Homedale, Idaho 83628. We invite anyone who knew her to attend, share stories and remember Chris’ wonderful life. There will be a catered event following.
